We hope you all had a great Christmas and new year!, i'm sure most of you have plenty of new games to play at J8, which you can still buy tickets for here: http://lanraiders.co.uk/2009/1…..-2010-605/

A new year calls for new updates, and don't worry…we haven't forgotten about you or the website Wink Check out what we've been up-to below:

Forum updates: 

Category – "J-Series LANS" Revised – The Individual LAN categories have been combined into a single-purpose "General LAN Chat" forum now so that you can keep on track of new topics easier. Because of this we have also removed the "Previous LAN's" category as this has been made redundant from the change.


Website Bug Fixes / Updates:


Login Bar bugs resolved:

1. – Bar now works on Internet Explorer browsers as originally intended

2. - Strange box formatting around each bar category has now been removed

3. - Removed random "maths" question on the registration portion of the login bar

4. - Removed redundant paragraph at bottom of registration stating that "A password will be emailed to you". You now set your own password.

5. - Tweaked styling slightly so that all boxes are now white with black text. Previously several boxes displayed as black with black text on Firefox browsers.

6. - reCAPTCHA has now been added to the registration form, and is required for all new users registering for the website. This is due to an influx of bots registering to spam the website.

Booking form updated – The LAN booking form was not displaying the correct dates

Website News / Reviews – Now auto post to our twitter account to keep you up to date with the latest news on the move

Iphone support added – The website should now be formatted better / optimised for browsing via an Iphone / Ipod Touch.

Future Updates:

We have more planned for the future of the website, below is just one of those ideas. Remember if you have any idea's you would like to see implemented into the Lanraiders website, please let us know in the Feedback thread.

Possible front page revision - We are looking to modify the website home page, either by completely changing how items are laid out, or by changing what is displayed in the right hand side columns to offer more variety, and to give you an easier look at what's going on at the website (I.e. latest forum posts)
